Aidan McHugh, Gamedev @ Coatsink.
A bit about me.
I'm Aidan McHugh, and I'm a game programmer currently working in the North East of the UK.
I have been working in the gamedev industry professionally for over three years, and have experience working on both contract and commercially developed games. Since I first found out what a GameCube was at around five years old, I've had a keen interest in finding out how games are made, and how to turn high quality code into really fun videogames.

Life outside of gamedev.
-
I speak multiple languages, English being a native language, and French; German and Japanese all at an elementary proficiency. I am currently learning Polish as a hobby.

I'm also a diehard fan of the New York Mets, and regularly play baseball in the summer. I started learning how to play in 2023, and am working toward learning how to pitch effectively. I've played for the Newcastle Nighthawks's Wings team, a recreational/developmental team in the North East Baseball League. In 2024, I helped the team win the league, and in 2025 I helped them reach the league playoffs once more, winning Most Improved Player in the process.

When not coding, I like to spend my spare time playing games with friends, drawing, playing guitar, and cooking.
